for publication in the supplements (ISSN 1825-3015)
deadline Juny 30th, 2012

Polifemo is calling a competition for the selection of two “first works”, derived from thesis of every cycle (I/II/III), to be published in Italian -
French - Spanish - English - German in the series of its supplements (ISSN 1825-3015).
Participation is open to everyone who defended a thesis on a topic relating to History of Religion or Ancient History between October 1st, 2007 and October 31st, 2010 (date of oral examination), with the only exclusion of holders of any degree from the University of Messina.
Participants must present (together with documentation of their degree) an original paper (no more than 20 pages, i.e. 70000 characters, blanks and footnotes included) for publication in Polifemo, where the results of their thesis are more synthetically presented, and a monograph, from the same thesis, of no more than 200 pages (i.e. 700000 characters, blanks and footnotes included). Both texts must respect Polifemo’s ars citandi and may not contain any indication on the author, which must be stated exclusively on an attached form.
All papers are submitted to the evaluation of the advisory council of the review for publication, according to the norms stated in every of its numbers: by sending texts for this selection every author commits to these norms. This non competitive part of the selection ends within December 2012. All monographs from authors of accepted papers are then submitted to a competitive evaluation of the direction of Polifemo, who chooses two of them to be published in the series of its supplements without any cost for the author.
